To begin using Candidly, you'll need to activate your account. How you activate your account depends on how your employer has set up access to Candidly.
If Your Employer Uses Single Sign-On (SSO)
If your employer uses Single Sign-On (SSO), you'll be able to access Candidly directly from the platform your company uses (such as your HR portal or benefits platform), without needing an activation email.
Look for a Candidly link or icon in your employer’s HR or benefits system
Click the link to log in automatically through your company credentials
Follow any on-screen prompts to complete your Candidly account setup

If You’re Activating via Email Invitation
If your employer does not use SSO, follow these steps to activate your Candidly account using the invitation email.
Step 1: Locate your activation email
Look for an email from help@getcandidly.com
The subject line reads: “Employee Onboarding Invite”
The email contains a unique activation link
If you can’t find the email, check your spam or promotions folders. Still missing? Contact our support team via Live Chat or email at help@getcandidly.com.
Step 2: Activate your account
Click the link in your email to open the Candidly platform
Follow the prompts to complete your account activation
🔐 Completing this step grants you access to your personalized Candidly dashboard.
Step 3: Connect and verify your loans
Activating your account is just the first step. To fully leverage Candidly’s tools and benefits—including any contributions if eligible—you’ll need to:
Connect your student loan account(s)
Complete the verification process
These actions unlock access to features such as Extra Payments, Round Up, Student Loan Employer Contributions, and Student Loan Retirement Match.

How do I change or update my email address?
- In your Candidly account, navigate to the person icon on the top right of the screen
- Select “Manage Account”
- Enter your preferred email address here
If your email address field is locked, please reach out to your employer to update the email address they have on file for you, or contact our support team via Live Chat or email help@getcandidly.com.
