Once your loans have been connected to the Candidly platform, a loan statement is required to verify them.
Several of the federal student loan servicers have similar processes for retrieving a loan statement. Refer to the steps outlined below for guidance on where to find your loan statement, according to your loan servicer.
If your loan servicer is not listed here, please look for an online billing statement from your servicer's site.
MOHELA (New Platform)
- Log into your MOHELA account (https://mohela.studentaid.gov/)
- Navigate to the "More" tab
- Select "Tools and Requests" from the dropdown menu
- Navigate to "Printable Account Information"
- Save this entire document as a PDF
- Upload all pages of the saved PDF to Candidly to verify your new loan
Nelnet:
- Log into your Nelnet account (https://nelnet.studentaid.gov/welcome)
- Navigate to the “Documents” tab
- Select “Statements”
- Click on the link of a recent statement
- Save this entire document as a PDF
- Upload all pages of the saved PDF to Candidly to verify your loan
If a recent billing statement is not available or if it is not dated within the last 90 days, you can also download a Mortgage Letter/Loan Summary statement from the Documents tab.
EdFinancial:
- Log into your EdFinancial account (https://edfinancial.studentaid.gov/)
- Navigate to the "More" tab
- Select "Tools and Requests" from the dropdown menu
- Navigate to "Printable Account Information"
- Save this entire document as a PDF
- Upload all pages of the saved PDF to Candidly to verify your loan
Aidvantage:
- Log into your Aidvantage account (https://aidvantage.studentaid.gov/)
- Navigate to the "More" tab
- Select "Tools and Requests" from the dropdown menu
- Navigate to "Printable Account Information"
- Save this entire document as a PDF
- Upload all pages of the saved PDF to Candidly to verify your loan
CRI:
- Log into your CRI account (https://cri.studentaid.gov/welcome)
- Navigate to the “Documents” tab
- Select “Statements”
- Click on the link of a recent statement
- Save this entire document as a PDF
- Upload all pages of the saved PDF to Candidly to verify your loan

SoFi:
- Log into your SoFi account (https://www.sofi.com/)
- Select “Student Loan” under “Welcome back to SoFi”
- Select the blue “View Account” button at the bottom of your Student Loan Refinance window
- Navigate down the screen to “More” on the left side of the screen
- Select “Documents & statements”
- Click “Statements” from the options provided
- Download the most recent statement provided here by clicking the download icon on the right of the monthly statement
- Upload all pages of the saved PDF to Candidly to verify your loan
College Ave:
- Log into your College Ave account (https://sso.collegeave.com)
- Navigate to the “Account Settings”
- Select “Statements”
- Download the most recent statement provided here as a PDF
- Upload all pages of the saved PDF to Candidly to verify your loan
Sallie Mae:
- Log into your Sallie Mae account (https://www.salliemae.com/login/)
- Navigate to the “Resource Center,” generally found in the main menu or account navigation
- Select “Statements”
- Download and save a recent statement provided here as a PDF
- Upload all pages of the saved PDF to Candidly to verify your loan
